Cut an A+8" by B + 1" length of fabric to make the outside cover along with one A+ 6" by B+ 1 piece of fusible medium-weight, non-woven interfacing. Then iron it onto its wrong side, stitching across all edges with a 1/4 inch stitch length. Make sure to press each handle strip so it is in the middle before marking the position with pins. Sew the handles' ends onto the inside of the cover, making sure not to stitch through pockets while using zigzag stitching to avoid raveling.
